The Arts in Cincinnati have long been a star attraction as well, particularly the performance arts. The Cincinnati Opera, Ballet and Symphony Orchestra are all nationally known. For smaller productions, there is the Shadowbox Cabaret, the Cincinnati Playhouse, the Ensemble Theater, and the Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival. The new, very modern Contemporary Arts Center, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the also new Arnoff Center of the arts are three downtown venues that are sure to please art lovers. As far as private galleries go, Carl Solway Gallery, Marta Hewett Gallery, Visual History Gallery, the Design Consortium Gallery, and the Weston Art Gallery are all worth a look for those with a refined eye.
