Summit Country Day High School Reviews

I am a foreign student who attends this school (and not the only one). I have to disagree with the comment made below. I have definitely been embraced by the faculty and student body. Individualism is encouraged, especially because it is a college preparatory school.

This school does not support and is not sensative to minority students. There is very little to no ethnic diversity amond the students or faculty. Individualism is not encourage

This is an excellent school. Summit has been wonderful for our two boys. The teachers are amazing, the curriculum is challenging, and the children are (mostly) genuinely kind and considerate to one another. The character development program is impressive, unique among private schools in the greater Cincinnati area. Summit is a Catholic school. It is impressive to see how the children are taught to respect and care for each other. Children from all faiths are welcomed warmly. It is worth every dime in tuition! I recommend it highly.

I think that the Summit Country Day is a great school to learn

Familiar with Montessori preK only. Summit has been an outstanding school for my preschool son. It is worth every penny. The teachers are very well qualified, have made every effort to know my son thoroughly, and have taught him far more than I've ever expected. The facilities are fantastic, but the teachers are even better.

Attending Summit for high school was one of the best decisions I've made. The quality of education is well beyond outstanding. Teachers are amazing and really care about the success of the students.

The quality of The Summit's academic programs is A+++ which is driven primarily by highly qualified teachers who, on a daily basis, go the extra mile to challenge students to do their best. This school places a strong emphasis on science, mathematics, humanities and spiritual growth. With small class sizes, it provides a learning environment that allows every student to succeed. I highly recommend The Summit for all students from Pre-School to High School, especially for parents who enjoy a high level of involvement in the school.

Superior school. Small class size and personal attention. Students get along well with each other, like the teachers and staff and have every opportunity to excel. Teachers make themselves readily available. Quality of counseling is well above average.

Summit has a 'no cut' policy for sports teams. The Admissions Office is very helpful. Summit has more National Merit Scholars (by percentage) that any other Cincinnati school.

Summit provides a sterling academic program, and has a heavy emphasis on educating the whole child -- academically, spiritually, artistically, physically and socially. Parents are heavily involved in all aspects of Summit's programs. The art programs are wonderful. Children also develop great poise and confidence at a young age. Highly recommended and well worth the hefty price tag.

This is a very good school with a very positive environment. I highly recommend that you send your child here if you are looking for an environment where there is a deep connection between the teachers and students. The teachers at this school show that they care about the education of your child and really do take pride in their work. They provide a lot of opportunities for the children here. The only problem with this school is that it needs more diversity in students and faculty. Other than that the school is one of the most outstanding in the area of Cincinnati.
