“As a parent of a recent SUA grad, I would respectfully disagree with your opinion about the administration. The principal that is retiring is one of the things that truly made SUA a special place. She was constantly present to the girls, teaching them life skills, and how to develop to their full potential. My daughter left SUA with 41 college credit hours based on the excellent AP programs that they have.She LOVED SUA. I do not think she could have had a better high school experience.”

“This is our family's 10th straight year at SUA, we could not have been happier with the school. Perhaps if teachers are slow to respond to parents, it is because it is appropriate for students to learn to address their academic issues first. Communication has never been an issue. As for the current principal, she is the consumate role model for young women, you could not hope for more. My senior says SUA shows a girl what she is capable of, they help girls push their limits. My oldest daughter and her friends are now out of college and have amazing opportunities. My current college student is so well prepared, she is grateful to everyone staff member of the academy. Saint Ursula Academy has been a true blessing in our lives. Observe the girls at dismissal, they leave energized and happy and ready to take on the world.”

“My daughter attended SUA as a freshman, and after a year, we decided to return to our excellent public school. Many teachers are good, truly caring for the individual, but the emphasis from the top was all about the 'image' and the 'appearance' of the girls. Teaching them skills to succeed in the real world is low on their list of priorities. There is a marked separation socio-economically. Fortunately, there is a recent change in administrators, but time will show if this will once again return SUA to the shining star it once was. Quite frankly, I'd pick MND over SUA anyday. Their sports teams are more successful, their teachers are truly involved, and their atmosphere is one of love and trust and not fear and pressure.”

“I think this school is amazing. Although the teachers expect a lot from us, it prepares you for college. I have met so many friends, and when I first got there everyone was so welcoming. I love this school!”

“We were very disappointed in S.U.A. We enrolled our daughter in this school because of its excellent reputation. However, from the very first week we discovered that the teachers were very unresponsive to parent inquiry. It was difficult to get an e-mail or a phone call returned. On two separate occasions we had to contact the Academic Dean in order to get a response from a teacher. We also found this school to be very sports oriented. So, if your daughter is involved in a sport of some kind she will fit in easier at this particular school. My daughter, who was always outgoing and had no trouble making friends, had problems at this school. She found the students to be very cliquish and not willing to let an outsider in to their cliques. (By the way I found the parents to be much the same). In addition to this”
