When diners see a giant rooster perched on the roof, they expect exceptional chicken. At Ron’s Roost they get it. Featured on the Food Network, and named Cincinnati’s best, the fried chicken is juicy, not greasy, with a delicious crispy coating.
Ron’s Roost sells over 10,000 pieces of chicken each week, perhaps a good portion of that on Monday nights when diners feast at the all-you-can-eat fried chicken buffet. Along with chicken, the buffet features a few different cole slaws, potato salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob and other popular side dishes.
In addition to chicken, the menu features German favorites, and entrees, including seafood, pasta, steaks and traditional liver and onions. Great burgers, including a garden burger, have always been a favorite at Ron’s Roost, but the restaurant recently added more sandwiches, like the steak sandwich topped with grilled onions, lettuce and tomato, in anticipation of increased demand once the new patio is opened.
The patio will add seating to the often crowded. but large dining area decorated with local sports and, yes, chicken memorabilia. In addition to the restaurant, there’s a full service bar, and patrons should never forget about dessert.
The White Chocolate Cheesecake's creamy texture with rich chocolate accents won Best Dessert and Best Overall Dish at the Taste of Cincinnati.
