An insert in the Keystone Bar and Grill's menu is dedicated entirely to macaroni and cheese, perhaps the best macaroni and cheese in the city.
The cheese bubbles in the crock when it arrives at your table. Plunge your fork through the delicate crust and steam rises from the creamy cheese and tender noodles. Enjoy it in its pure form, or try one of the many combinations, like the Pink Floyd with bacon and grilled onions. You can also create your own mac and cheese masterpiece with ingredients including steak, jalapeños, tomatoes, and more.
Keystone pairs its ultimate comfort food with a comfortable restaurant. Located in an historic district of Covington, steps away from the riverfront and the Ascent, Keystone welcomes visitors with warm wood tones, a tin ceiling, a bit of stained glass, and comfortable tables and booths. A juke box plays a variety of songs, from today's favorites in country and rock, to oldies and 80s pop.
The only discomfort might arise for nonsmokers. While the smoking ban in Ohio rids restaurants and bars of the health hazard in Cincinnati, Kentucky continues to allow smoking in public places. Even when no one's lighting up, the cigarette smell lingers. However, an outdoor patio allows visitors to breathe fresh air with their freshly prepared meals.
In addition to the mac and cheese, Keystone features another insert devoted to quesadillas, a wide variety of soups and salads, and renowned burgers. And, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 3 PM, Keystone serves brunch favorites along with Bloody Marys from Keystone's full-service bar. The bar also sells craft beers and single-batch bourbons and offers Happy Hour drink specials everyday of the week.
HelloCincinnati Tip: Mondays enjoy ½ price Mac and Cheese, and Tuesdays get quesadillas ½ price.
