A grand fountain, several ballroom-worthy crystal chandeliers, and a Chinese buffet. It’s an odd combination, but works well. Located in a strip mall, The Grand Buffet serves quality food at reasonable prices.
A server will seat you at a comfortable table or roomy booth, and take your drink order. Select among the full range of Coke products, or iced tea, or enjoy a domestic or imported beer, wine or mixed drink, with your meal. After the server takes your drink order, feel to survey the buffet.
The Grand Buffet serves as a great place to introduce yourself or others to Chinese food. There’s a great variety here, well marked so you can note your favorites for a later meal. Grab a plate and start with some appetizers. Try some stuffed mushrooms, cheese wontons, eggrolls, or mini pizzas, which look and taste suspiciously like potato skins. There’s also a sushi bar for more adventurous diners, a salad bar and soups are always available, too.
After your starters, scoop up some white or fried rice, or both, and sample pork, steak, chicken and seafood entrees. Each is prepared several different ways, and sauces at the end of the buffet lines, allow customers to customize their meal to their individual tastes.
Fill up a new plate again, or step over to the desserts. Choose among warm cobblers, chocolate or vanilla puddings, colorful Jell-O cubes, pastries, and cookies. You can also create a soft serve ice cream cone or sundae, with chocolate or strawberry sauce, and a variety of toppings. At the end of your meal, the check arrives, along with everyone’s favorite Chinese food, a crisp fortune cookie.
