Memorial Day weekend Hiking/Camping trip in the Smoky Mountains Friday out Mond

Location:
Postal code 45220, United States

Cincinnati, Ohio 45220
Starts at: 4:00 PM
This is not an all day event

Description:
This is a trip to view the Smoky Mountains during the Spring wildflower season. The plan is to carpool out on Friday and return on Monday. We will be staying at Cades Cove the first night We plan on staying in Cades cove the first night and from there head into the back country, camping at a different location each night. The plan is to leave fairly early on Monday to get back at a reasonable hour. Interested but could use camping or backpacking supplies? Shoot an email because extras will likely be available. Expected is around six miles of hiking daily, give or take depending on the route chosen. Great weather usually is to be expected. Moderate hikes preferred. Meals will be shared, but an expected stop for carnivores is Sonys for the BEST BBQ! Originally I wrote that it might be possible to car camp and join in on hikes, but that probably won't be possible unless you are SUPERHIKER who also can hike in the dark. For details contact Jenn Davis @ jennifersdavis@hotmail.com. The number of participants is what is anticipated to fit in two vehicles.
