Cincinnati Art Museum June 14 - Sept. 7, 2008 View the original drawings, paintings and studies of best-selling author and illustrator David Macaulay, recognized for his interpretations of the way things work, from simple gadgets to complex buildings. As a Caldecott Medal-winning artist and 2006 MacArthur Foundation [MES1] Fellow, Macaulay brings together the worlds of art, history, science and fantasy. Located in Eden Park and founded in 1881, the Cincinnati Art Museum is one of America's most respected visual arts institutions, offering 6,000 years of great art. The Terrace Cafe offers dining in the midst of great art or in the open-air central courtyard. Saturdays and Sundays often feature family programs and activities. Free general admission. (Certain featured exhibitions may charge admission.) Free parking. Open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.
