Teller's: Dining with interest
Experience fine dining in a bank vault. Teller's offers the unique opportunity to savor delicious cuisine within the walls of the former safe of the Hyde Park Savings and Loan. The stainless steel gears and levers on the vintage vault door, along with uniquely designed “Teller tables,” situated beneath the original ironwork of the Savings and Loan’s teller windows, pay tribute to the building’s heritage as a part of the Hyde Park community.
The sense of community continues at Teller's with a high-energy atmosphere fueled by friendly conversations and mingling at the bar. The full-service bar offers more than 30 beers on tap, 20 wines by the glass and more than 120 bottle wines. Diners are welcome to sit at the bar, at high top tables nearby, at the restaurant’s traditional tables or booths, or outdoors at Teller's second story outdoor patio.
Browse through the extensive menu and choose among a variety of innovative appetizers to start, including Brie Flatbread, Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls and Scallop Shiraz, seared sea scallops in a shiraz reduction, served with minted cous cous and pine nuts. For lunch, choose from a variety of salads, wraps, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. Dinner entrees include unique preparations of traditional seafood, beef, and chicken, including a Deconstructed Sushi Tuna, Meritage Filet, or Mango Chicken.
No matter what you enjoy for your main course, be sure to save room for dessert. Along with Bread Pudding, Chocolate Boullion, Mango Crème Brûlée, and New York Cheesecake, Teller's serves Mocha Lava, coffee infused chocolate with a side of vanilla cream. Order this decadent delight early if you're in a hurry, because molten chocolate takes some extra time to prepare.
