Cadillac Ranch: Food, fun, drinks and a mechanical bull
A Cadillac perched on the roof signals that this is a fun place. Cadillac Ranch aims to serve “Good American Food,” great drinks and good times.
And those good times vary greatly by the time of day. During the afternoon and early evening, Cadillac Ranch operates as a family friendly restaurant, even offering a value-priced Kids Menu. Youngsters can choose among cheese pizza flatbread, chicken tenders, a grilled chicken breast or pasta, and also receive a drink and ice cream for just $4.95.
Meanwhile, the rest of the menu offers everything from simple pub fare, to elaborate entrees. Start with an appetizer like cheesy nachos, quesadillas or loaded French fries -- fries covered in cheese and bacon and served with a side of sour cream. Next, decide if you’d like a cheeseburger, sandwich or something more substantial, like New York Strip, Atlantic Salmon, or Chicken Diablo, grilled chicken in a creamy roasted Diablo sauce, with spinach, tomato and penne pasta.
Enjoy your meal while you watch the game on one of the many TVs. Or, take some time to count the acoustic guitars lined along the wall. You can also check out electric guitars, rock star posters and a framed drumstick (the musical kind). And of course, it’s hard to miss the full-size Cadillac above the glowing Budweiser sign.
And then, there’s the bull. Walled in beneath the "Saddle Up" sign, a mechanical bull awaits the night.
At night, Cadillac Ranch gets rowdy. The crowd changes; families head home, while young professionals enter. DJs play music. Loud music. People crowd the dance floor. And the mechanical bull comes to life, circling, bucking, and tossing riders to the mat.
