Ranked by Zagat as the number one shopping and mall attraction for families in the USA in 2004, Newport on the Levee provides residents and visitors to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with a varied and fulfilling experience just a bridge walk away from downtown Cinci.

Describing itself as “a world away from the everyday,” Newport on the Levee opened in 2001 and was named after the levee upon which it was built. It’s located just across the river from Cincinnati's dramatic skyline view – available via private vehicle or mass transit, but it’s much more fun to walk the “purple people bridge” over the Ohio River to get there.

The shopping center is located one block from the East Row Historic District and the Monmouth Street Historic District, where many new bed and breakfast locations have opened. Newport on the Levee is a popular attraction for people seeking prime shopping, entertainment and delectable dining locations.

Newport on the Levee features a year-round schedule of festivals, special events, live bands and a great selection of restaurant offerings such as BRIO Tuscan Grille, which offers beautiful patio dining and convenient access to valet parking.

The Levee's popularity has grown because of the introduction of entertainment venues such as the Newport Aquarium; GameWorks, a new interactive gaming complex; Shadowbox, a live sketch comedy and rock ‘n roll club; an AMC-Newport 20 movie theater with stadium seating; and local and regional musical acts nightly at Jefferson Hall.

The Newport Aquarium is a 1,000,000-gallon indoor aquarium that contains a wide array of marine life from all over the world. The Pendleton Art Gallery features artwork from more than 3,000 local artists. The gallery sells a wide arrange of original artwork that includes paintings, photography, digital art, fabric and metal art.

Newport on the Levee also includes a wide variety of first-class retail venues including Barnes & Noble, Pendleton Art Gallery, Tala’s Distant Treasures and Mango Arts. For more information visit the attraction's web site at www.newportonthelevee.com.
